The course is aimed at  graduate and advanced undergraduate students with an interest in Solar Physics and who may possibly want to pursue a career in Solar Physics. Therefore applications are invited from Ph.D. students who are yet to choose a topic of their research or the students working in Solar Physics or M.Sc final year students motivated to work in Solar Physics.  Application form and more material on registration are down-loadable from the link below.  The application  can be submitted  through  the on-line web-form,  but the reference letters should be sent either by email or by post. Completed applications in the given format along with two reference letters sent separately by referees should reach the following address:

Reference Letter Format

Suggested referees are:  

• A lecturer or a professor who has recently taught the candidate a science or engineering course  for at least one semester.
• An academic or technical person with whom the candidate have carried out a scientific/technical project for a minimum period of three months.

Selected candidates  will receive communication by  September 15, 2006.  Limited funding is available to cover travel within India.  Candidates who do not have any other resources are requested to send an application to kodsch@iiap.res.in. Local hospitality  will be provided to all the participants.
