Happy landing on my webhome!

I am third year research scholar at Indian Institute of Astrophysics. I joined my research as Joint Astronomy Program Student, in Indian Institute of Science. I am working under the guidance of Prof. Jayant Murthy, on properties of interstellar dust. I have studied various coagulation properties of dust, possibly leading to formation of planetesimals. Recently I studied the thermal properties of dust, and a model of radiative transfer through arbitrary distribution of dust. Now I am working on diffuse UV observations of LMC.

I did my B.Sc. Physics from Fergusson College, Pune; and M.Sc. Physics in IIT Bombay.

I am compiling some practical exercises in observational Astronomy here.

I invite 1st/2nd/3rd year B.Sc. Physics students to take up a study project with me. For details see study project plans.

You can visit my other webpage at IISc. Send me an E-mail.
