Srimad Bhagavad Gita, or the Lord's Song, is a priceless gem among
the literatures of the world. Seemingly to His despondent friend Arjuna, it
is also Sri Krishna's message for all of us, especially for ones who are
troubled by the deepest philosophical questions about life and this world.
Uniquely among books of its kind, the Gita has a message for almost any
imaginable truth seeker: the emotional bhakta or
sharanagata, the action-oriented Raja Yoga maargi,
the practical karma yoga maargi or the intellectual jnaana yoga
maargi. It
has more commentaries written on it than any other book. It is also the book
that has been translated the most number of times into the same language-
-English, as it happens- from the original Sanskrit. It is a veritable sweet,
insatiable ocean of wisdom.
