The present workshop is one of the series of workshops devoted to the planning and launching of the Indian Astronomical  Satellite (ASTROSAT) but with special emphasis on UV Astronomy. The workshop has been organized by Indian Institute of Astrophysics and held in the Bangalore from 27 September to 29 September 2006
