Abstract * : Loops are one of the fundamental structures that trace the geometry of the magnetic field in the solar atmosphere. Their evolution and dynamics provide crucial proxy for studying how the magnetized structures are formed and heated in the solar atmosphere. IRIS has provided a great opportunity for studying transition region loops since it is a mission designed for observing the chromosphere and transition region. The IRIS observations have revealed abundant activities associated with transition region loops. These activities could help understand how these loops were formed in the flux emergence processes and how they are heated. Through these observations, one can further inspect how the magnetized solar atmosphere is structured and maintained. In this presentation, we will summarize the recent observations on dynamics of transition region loops and their relation to flux emergence and heating in this crucial region of the solar atmosphere.
