In the present work we have analyzed the type III radio bursts for solar cycle 24 (December 2008- December 2016) and their associated Solar energetic particles (SEPs). Type III radio bursts data used in the current analysis has been taken from Culgoora radio spectrograph. The SEPs data (proton intensity ≥ 10 pfu) has been obtained from GOES satellite. A detailed analysis has been carried out between type III properties like starting frequency, duration and SEPs intensity. We found that the properties of type III bursts exhibit good association with SEPs. |
