Young Astronomers' Meet 2019


Tentative Scientific Program for YAM-2019.

The scientific rationale of Young Astronomers' Meet is to bring the young researchers together to enrich the nation wide collaboration among students from different fields of Astronomy and Astrophysics. This conference will help in stimulating the interaction among PhD students and nurture the prospect of scientific growth as a whole. The success of initial meeting in IUCAA/NCRA in 1992 was followed by a series of conferences at different places in India. We are pleased to announce that this year the Young Astronomers' Meet will be organized by Indian Institute of Astrophysics at one of its oldest observatory called Kodaikanal Solar Observatory located in Palani range of hills in Southern India. The duration of meeting will be five days from September 23rd-27th 2019. There will be an invited talk by an expert every day in respective field of Astronomy and Astrophysics.

Who can apply?

The students who are pursuing PhD in the disciplines of Astronomy and Astrophysics in India can apply online for the conference. The participation will be either by talk or poster. There is no registration fee for the conference. Selected participants will be intimated through email.
