Accommodation

The selected participants will be provided accommodation at the guest house of Kodaikanal Solar Observatory during the conference. Breakfast, lunch and dinner will be served at the observatory. The travel allowance of 3-Tier AC train fare will be granted to only those PhD students who are working in National Universities of India.

How to reach Kodaikanal Solar Observatory?

• Via Bangalore

Kodaikanal is well connected to Bangalore by bus services provided by both state transport and private operators. Kodaikanal Observatory is located 4km from Kodaikanal town and may be reached by taking a private taxi from the Kodaikanal bus station.

• Via Madurai

The nearest airport to the Kodaikanal Observatory is Madurai (130km from Kodaikanal Observatory), in the state of Tamil Nadu. It takes approximately 3 hours to reach Kodaikanal from Madurai.
