Research Interest

Molecular clouds are sites where stars form. Using data obtained from ground and space based observing facilities I study these objects to estimate their distances from the Sun, produce magnetic field maps using polarimetry of background stars to understand the role played by the field in their formation, evolution and subsequent star formation. Using multi-wavelength data, I study young stellar objects associated with the molecular clouds also to characterize their properties.
