Annapurni Subramaniam
2026: Prof. Annapurni Subramaniam, Director of IIA, the recipient of the COSPAR Vikram Sarabhai Medal for 2026, "in recognition of her outstanding contributions to Space Research in developing countries".The medal is awarded jointly by ISRO and Committee on Space Research (COSPAR) every 2 yrs, in honour of Vikram Sarabhai.

2025: An IIA PhD student has been chosen for the TCS-RSP program cycle running from July 2025 to July 2029. His work focuses on designing and developing next-generation multi-object and integral field spectrographs, utilizing machine learning-based simulations, and conducting in-house development and on-sky testing of ground-based astronomical instruments.
