Electronics Division

electronics-lab-1

Electronics Department at IIA is a part of the Systems Engineering Group. It has state-of-the-art facilities including all the equipment and related software required for design, simulation, development and testing of electronic sub-systems for ground as well as space-based astronomical instruments/telescopes. We have collaborations with several private and government research institutes, labs and leading manufacturers/vendors in the industry across India.

tmt-edgeSensors-electronics

Department has established collaboration with several labs of ISRO and worked for the following programs.

  • Ultra Violet Imaging Telescope (UVIT) on ASTROSAT.
  • Visible Emission Line Coronagraph (VELC) on ADITYA-L1.
  • Indian Spectroscopic Imaging Space Telescope (INSIST) -Upcoming UV space-based telescope.

Department is also participating in Thirty Meter Telescope (TMT) for Actuators, Edge Sensors, Developing Test Controllers for TMT Segment Support Assembly (SSA), TMT Warping Harness test and measuring equipment.
