Graduate Studies
The Indian Institute of Astrophysics conducts various PhD programmes, which are vital to research and training at the Institute. The Board of Graduate Studies (BGS) oversees these programmes. Currently IIA runs four PhD and one Integrated MTech-PhD programmes. IIA is affiliated to the Academy of Scientific and Innovative Research (AcSIR) and is also a major partner in the Joint Astronomy Programme (JAP) organised by the Indian Institute of Science (IISc).
