Astronomy Talk Series in Indian Languages (ATSIL)

ATSIL, started during the pandemic, is a series of talks, each of which is in a different (non-English) language. We have had 8 so far, in Kannada, Hindi, Tamil, Malayalam, Bengali, Marathi, Urdu, and Gujarati and you can watch the videos of these talks here. During the pandemic, there were a large number of webinars on science in English being organised every week. ATSIL was started to make a small difference in this landscape by focussing only on other languages, and received a very good response. They have also helped us in forming networks with people communicating science in these specific languages in the corresponding states. We invite regional language science communicators to talk to us if you are interested in furthering this series.
