Research Interest (s) : I have been exploring various stellar populations for the last three decades. I have used stellar populations to study the structure, evolution and chemical enrichment of Magellanic Clouds. The star formation in various dwarf galaxies using the UVIT images have rendered some insights on the role of feedback mechanism in these galaxies. Recently, my group has been exploring the formation pathways of blue straggler stars in open and globular clusters. Hot companions to blue stragglers are identified using multi-wavelength data. The helium variation and formation of extreme-horizontal branch stars are explored in globular clusters. We have carried out extensive survey of open and globular clusters using the AstroSat. The other topics that is of my interest and on-going research are the evolution of young stellar objects in clusters, fraction of binary stars in clusters, using ML to effectively identify cluster members. The thesis topics of Dhanush (structure and 2D kinematics of teh MCs) and and Sipra (young stars in the SMC) are specifically on the Magellanic Clouds
