Research Interest (s) : My research focuses on solar physics, especially the magnetic field evolution over short and long time intervals in active regions. I am also working in the field of a long-term study of solar activity- sunspot cycle, hemispheric asymmetry, Ca-K index, and filament activity. My other research interests are investigating the flows and shear in active regions and filaments, finding the relationship between various magnetic field parameters and the eruptive events, evolution of net currents in active regions, and evolution of magnetic helicity. My additional research interest is to develop filter-based instruments for solar observations. At present, I am looking after the scanning of more than 100-years of drawings of sunspots, plages, and filaments called sun-charts at the Kodaikanal Observatory (KO). I am also helping to make daily observations of the sun in G-band and H-alpha wavelengths at the KO and at the high altitude observatory, Merak station in Ladakh region.
