Research Interest (s) : My work is in astronomy outreach, education and communication, and I am the head of the newly constituted Science Communication, Public Outreach, and Education (SCOPE) Section at IIA. My interests are mainly designing and implementing large scale outreach campaigns, promoting scientific temper, astronomy in the public domain, and the use of astronomy for social change. I am a member of the ASI Public Outreach and Education Committee, the SKA India Consortium (SKAIC) Education and Public Outreach Committee, and the LIGO India Outreach Committee. I am also the Chair of the Outreach Committee of African Astronomical Society (AfAS). Prior to my position here at IIA, I was a radio astronomer, and have worked on star formation, radio interferometry software, and commissioning work for radio interferometers.
