Research Interest (s) : My main research interest is on galaxy formation and evolution. I focus on dwarf galaxies with particular interest on Magellanic Clouds, which are the massive satellite galaxies of the Milky Way. My other interests include Giant Low Surface Brightness galaxies, bar-quenching, Active Galactic Nuclei and distance indicators. I use multi-wavelength data from ground and space based telescopes for my research. I am also interested in contributing to the upcoming observational facilities for astronomical research. In this regard, I am leading an effort to generate a near infrared guide star catalogue for Thirty Meter Telescope observations and am the India-TMT work package manager for the development of observatory software for TMT.
