MaceBerry Cam

A raspberry Pi based Star Camera for Major Atmospheric Cherenkov Experiment

An all weather star camera for the Major Atmospheric Cherenkov Experiment (MACE) Telescope situated at IAO, Hanle. This instrument, named after the telescope MACE and the processor Raspberry Pi, called MaceBerryCam is a low cost star camera that uses a Raspberry Pi 12-megapixel HQ camera as the sensor and a 16mm telephoto lens based optical system for capturing a 22 X 16 degrees field of view of the sky.

Derived from the StarBerry Sense, the primary functionality of this star camera is to provide real time astronomical coordinates of the look direction for Major Atmospheric Cherenkov Experiment (MACE) facility at IAO, Hanle. MaceBerryCam will also list the nearby bright celestial sources so that observers at MACE can take precautionary measures if required.
