Thesis Title: Investigating the Properties of Galaxy Halos using HI Observations and Numerical Simulations
Research Interest: My research interest lies in the field of galaxy formation and evolution. I am primarily interested in studying properties of galaxy dark matter halos; for example, the angular momentum of dark matter halos, shapes of dark matter halos, scale length or extension of dark matter halos of galaxies etc. and how these properties are connected to disk properties. We can study this connection using N-Body/SPH simulations, cosmological simulations (FIRE-2, TNG) and various observational probes like the stellar bars, HI rotation curves of galaxies etc.
I am also working with the FIRE2 (Feedback In Realistic Environments) simulations where I study bar formation and destruction in the Milky Way-mass galaxies.
Other research interests include - Large scale structure, 21cm Cosmology.
