UVIT Payload Operations Centre
Under the AstroSat mission, ISSDC hosts all data products. Only Level-0 and Level-1 products will be generated at ISSDC by an automated chain of processes. The higher level products (science ready) will be generated by the Payload Operations Centres of each payload and will be transferred back to ISSDC after validation/certification.
The Payload Operation Centre for UVIT is at IIA main campus. The primary responsibility of UVIT-POC is to fetch Level-1 datasets from ISSDC and generate science ready Level-2 images. Quality of the data will also be ascertained. Most of these processes are automated.
